Best Practices in Administrative and Clinical Supervision within Community Mental Health
This is a full day workshop from 8:45 am - 4:15 pm with a 1 hour lunch break at 12:00 noon Available Continuing Education Units from ATS: 6 units in supervision This presentation will focus on topics related to leadership, administration, and clinical supervision in mental health environments. Topics covered will include, 1) 8:45 - 10:45: What does it mean to be a supervisor, manager, and leader? ∙ Gardener’s Tasks of Leadership as applied to mental health agencies ∙ How the theories of Authentic Leadership, Servant Leadership, and Transformational Leadership apply to mental health agency leadership and clinical supervision. 2) 11:00 - 12:30 Keeping the clinical team on motivated and on mission. ∙ Organizational culture, climate and change in the era of Ohio Behavioral Health Redesign. 3) 1:30 -2:30 How adult learning and adult development theory apply to good clinical supervision. 4) 2:45-4:15 A framework for problem solving and ethical decision making.
